although lilith originated as a demon, she means many things to modern people: goddess, demoness, role model, archetype, and more. to your typical neopagan, she is a goddess. to a feminist jew, she is a role model. to others with more traditional beliefs, such as an orthodox jew, she remains a demon. yet whatever role she plays in one's belief system, she is powerful, charismatic, and compelling. no wonder people have believed in her for over 2000 years.
